Slide 1

Several exhibitors demonstrated how oceanographic instruments are used in research and how they work, like this device that counts plankton in labs in the Department of Oceanography and Coastal Sciences at LSU.

Live animals were on display in LUMCON’s Touch Tank waiting to be handled by curious fingers. They featured sand dollars, starfish and other invertebrates.

Ocean Commotion 2007 was hosted by Louisiana Sea Grant College Program.
